JYP Entertainment Reveals New Group KickFlip’s Debut Date
ON November 22JYP Entertainment has unveiled a teaser image announcing that KickFlip is set to debut January 1, 2025, at 00:00 KST. The image was shared on the group’s newly launched X, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok accounts.
The intriguing name KickFlip refers to a challenging skateboarding technique that involves rotating the board 360 degrees with a simple movement of the foot. This name encompasses the group’s aspirations to break free from traditional norms and embrace bold, innovative approaches, much like the movement it takes its name from: turning the tables and moving forward.
KickFlip’s debut plans have also been confirmed by Park Jin-youngfounder and lead producer of JYP, during a video segment at 2024 MAMA Awards in USA held firm November 21 (local time). In the video, he expressed high expectations for the group, highlighting their unique identity and promising global appeal. KickFlip’s debut aligns with JYP Entertainment’s vision of cultivating next-generation K-pop artists who push creative boundaries while maintaining the label’s signature quality.
Starting from midnight on January 1stKickFlip will launch their debut album project, which is expected to introduce fans to their dynamic sound and concept.
