Fans of TWICE they are expressing frustration with JYP Entertainmentaccusing the company of neglecting Dahyunpromotions for her upcoming acting debut in the Korean remake of You are the apple of my eye.
The outrage came after concerns arose regarding Dahyun’s presence at the Busan International Film Festival 2024 (BIFF)where he was scheduled to appear alongside the cast members.
Supporters of the singer and soon-to-be actress are especially upset after Dahyun’s name was removed from the film’s talk-to-talk promotional segment at the festival. Fans, including those traveling from overseas, had planned trips to South Korea specifically to see Dahyun at the event, only to be left unsure whether she would attend.
What further fueled the discontent was that Young Jung Jin (Dahyun’s co-star’s presence) was confirmed by her management the day before, while JYP Entertainment remained silent on Dahyun’s status, despite her being the main female character in the film.

Dahyun herself addressed the situation on fan communication platform Bubble, where she expressed her desire to attend the festival. However, she hinted at potential conflicts with her group’s schedule, which could prevent her from attending all of the festival’s events.
Fan: Dahyun, will you come to Busan International Film Festival???? Many fans are planning to go, but we don’t know if you will come or not…
Dahyun: I really want to go, I really want to.
Dahyun: But I might not be able to attend all the events… I have a group shoot planned…
Fans are now demanding that JYP Entertainment adjust TWICE’s activities so that Dahyun can focus on properly promoting her upcoming film. They argue that as the main female lead, she deserves to be able to fully participate in promotional events alongside the cast members.

My thoughts are that for most of Dahyun’s acting activities, we will not receive proper updates and promotions from @JYPETWICE @jypnation because they might reason that they are not a company for actors and actresses. So, hug each other d7. We will need each other for the efforts of the fans.
