JY Park’s collaboration phase with Xdinary Heroes was met with disbelief.
On November 10, the JYP Entertainment founder and the rock band teamed up for a performance of “Easy Lover,” JY Park’s latest single to celebrate his 30 years in the industry. He performed together with Junhan and Jungsu, and everyone was dressed in bright black clothes and accessories.
JY Park, in particular, wore a long latex coat with a feathered collar and long fiery red hair. He also changed his behavior to get into the character of a rock star.
But as photos and videos circulated on X (formerly Twitter), a huge wave of hilarity took over the platform, with some comically wondering how the JYPE founder was still active as a singer at his age.
“He wants to be a member [of Xdinary Heroes] so bad,” one X user said.
Another wrote: “[J.Y. Park] must be the [worst] jfc photobomber.”
“I was prepared for the absolute killing of Jungsu and Junhan’s (gorg) appearance,” said another VILLAINS (fandom name for Xdinary Heroes). “BUT NOBODY NOTICED ME THAT JYP WOULD WEAR THAT WIG. It scared me a little, ngl.”
Meanwhile, what caught fans’ attention the most was the fact that JY Park’s latest style supposedly resembled NCT Yuta during his “Fact Check” era – and this idea caused a hilarious uproar among NCTzens .
One wrote: “He tried so hard, but Yuta is one of a kind, this is his impact, everyone tries to be him.”
Another NCTzen reacted, “yeah how I used to have a thing for emo guys…yeah that’s totally gone now.”
