JY Park has earned mixed reactions for comments on ITZY Liais the recent return from the break.
In September 2023, it was announced that Lia would be going on hiatus to deal with health issues.
The company revealed that she suffered from tension and anxiety during her busy schedule, and after consulting a specialist, she was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.

The idol returned approximately ten months after announcing his hiatus and was included in the group’s most recent comeback, “Gold.”
Although ITZY was not present on the first day of the “2024 MAMA Awards”, they were mentioned during a pre-show interview with JY Park, who was one of the night’s performers.
The interviewer asked JY Park how he felt about Lia returning to activities, and he responded that “This is what ITZY should look like.”
This answer is positive and true, however many had mixed feelings about his answer.
Many were thrilled with the recognition and also shared similar feelings about Lia’s return.
Others thought his reaction was too short, as in the previous section of the video he had praised others for a longer period of time.
