Justin and Hailey Bieber Had a Big Argument During Labor: “I Wanted to Be There for My Son”

After six years of marriage, Justin and Hailey Bieber welcomed their first child, a boy, in August 2024. However, the singer recently revealed that he and Hailey had a major argument during labor.

According to Justin, the conflict arose from a disagreement with the midwife. He felt left out when he wanted to comfort Hailey while she was in intense labor. Understanding that the midwife was doing her job, Justin still wanted to be fully present during the crucial moment of becoming a father.

“Being a parent is instinctive and I wanted to be there for my son,” Justin said.

The disagreement escalated, causing Hailey concern. She asked Justin to clarify the situation and apologize to the midwife. Justin complied, explaining that emotions were strong and also asked that the midwife respect his role in the birth experience.

Hailey’s labor was challenging. At 39 weeks, her water broke and she endured 18 hours of labor with significant bleeding, relying only on an epidural to ease the pain. At one point, she feared for her life, but regained her composure and trusted the medical team to ensure a safe delivery.

After giving birth, Hailey faced challenges with adjusting to motherhood, struggling with rumors and speculation about her marriage. She described that period as the most emotionally sensitive time of her life, but now refuses to let the negativity affect her.

Justin and Hailey first met in 2009, forming a close friendship over the years. After dating briefly in 2015, they reconciled in 2018, quickly getting engaged and legally married in September 2018. They had a romantic wedding in 2019 with family and friends in South Carolina. Despite past rumors and public scrutiny, the couple continues to build a happy family life together.
