On December 3, former entertainment journalist Lee Jin-ho of YouTube uploaded a video titled “The truth behind the rumors about the accountant’s girlfriend… Jung Woo-sung’s sincerity? The reason why Lim Ji-yeon cheered”.
The video focused on the rumors surrounding Jung Woo-sung’s alleged accountant girlfriend, with entertainment journalist Oh Mi-jung joining the discussion.
Oh Mi-jung dismissed the rumors, “This doesn’t seem to be true. If a story like this came from a law firm, it would be a significant problem, perhaps justifying its closure. Hard to find credibility in this.“
He added: “There is an obsession with keeping secrets.”
Lee Jin-ho pointed out: “The timeline doesn’t match. The rumor began to spread in earnest after the news of his illegitimate child was revealed. Even when such rumors circulate, the details are usually vague.”
Lee Jin-ho clarified: “Upon further investigation, the girlfriend is not an accountant. She is a wealthy person who has been in a long-term relationship with Jung Woo-sung, also enjoying frequent double dates with Lee Jung-jae and his partner..”
Oh Mi-jung also noted that most in the industry believe that rumors would not influence casting decisions, as Jung Woo-sung is highly respected in the film world. He explained: “He is known for his genuine passion for films. It seems like they see it as a matter of his personal life.”
Lee Jin-ho suggested that actress Lim Ji-yeon’s cheerful reaction was probably a reflection of the supportive atmosphere within the film industry.
Oh Mi-jung agrees, adding, “Jung Woo-sung probably felt less burdened to discuss personal matters in the presence of other film colleagues.“
