tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Love Next Door” has just two episodes left before its conclusion.
The show has resonated with viewers by depicting everything from a lighthearted and exciting youthful love story to heartwarming and touching family stories, making the daily lives of Hyereung-dong residents even more special in their simplicity.
In particular, viewers laughed, cried and felt their hearts flutter as they watched Choi Seung-hyo (played by Jung Hae-in) and Bae Seok-ryu (played by Jung So-min), who went from friends to lovers. The deepening relationship between Jeong Mo-eum (played by Kim Ji-eun) and Kang Dan-ho (played by Yoon Ji-on), who comfort and support each other, also moved viewers.
Jung Hae-in, Jung So-min and the rest of the cast expressed their affection for the show and their sadness over its ending.
Jung Hae-in shared: “As a viewer, I enjoyed watching it, so I’m sad to see it end.” Jung So-min added: “It doesn’t feel real that filming is over and I can’t believe the show is coming to an end. I think it’s because I never really let go of “Love Next Door” in my heart.“
Kim Ji-eun commented: “Watching the show every week brought back memories of filming, so it’s sad that there are only two episodes left. I have become so fond of it and will cherish these memories for a long time and will recall them every now and then.”
Yoon Ji-on expressed his feelings: “Every week I looked forward to the weekend so I could watch the show, but now I wish this weekend never came. However, I feel a sense of warmth despite the sadness and am grateful to all the viewers who loved “Love Next Door.”“
What do “Love Next Door” and its characters mean to the actors?
Jung Hae-in reflected: “For me, this will be remembered as a project where I was happy and excited to go to set every day. Choi Seung-hyo has a lot of similarities with my real self, so I could identify with him a lot. Playing Seung-hyo gave me another opportunity to grow and learn.”
Jung So-min shared: “Even as time goes by, I think I will always root for all the characters in “Love Next Door.” I don’t think their story ends with the finale. I want to continue cheering for the future stories of the people of Hyereung-dong. Meeting Seok-ryu was truly a stroke of luck and I hope she remains healthy and at peace.”
Finally, the actors left messages encouraging viewers to tune in to the final two episodes airing this week, along with some key points to watch out for.
Jung Hae-in said: “Can’t wait to see the warm and beautiful moments between Seung-hyo, Seok-ryu and their families.”
Jung So-min added: “For the last two episodes, I hope you can watch them with your heart at ease and enjoy the sweet moments between Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu. Seeing that the drama provided comfort and empathy to viewers gave me, in turn, a lot of energy. I sincerely thank everyone for loving and supporting “Love Next Door” so far.“
The fifteenth episode of “Love Next Door” will air on October 5, while the finale (the sixteenth episode) will air on October 6.
