In response, Lee Jung Woo expressed his frustration: “In this country, a celebrity’s family can’t even freely enjoy being a fan?”
He continued: “I retired a long time ago. I’m just one of 8.48 billion people.” and asked: “Would a 10 year ARMY post something criticizing the people he supports? Especially when they made a big comeback with a great album after 3 years and 9 months?”
He further explained: “It was something the members jokingly talked about during a Weverse liveand I found it funny and posted it to my story while laughing.
He further underlined: “I’m not even good at English, so I’m in no position to comment on someone else’s English skills.”
In the end, what Lee Jung Woo wanted to highlight was not the criticism but his love as a fan. However, a single brief expression was interpreted in an unintentional way, leading her to complain about it “Even a celebrity’s family cannot freely enjoy being a fan.”
