However, after two episodes, allegations about Lee’s complicated past have rocked the production.

Through MissyUSAan online community for Koreans living in the United States, Korean-Americans living in Dallas began leaving damning comments about Lee’s past. One claimed that Lee had been married for eight years in Korea before abandoning his wife, fleeing to the United States, and remarrying, acting like a single man.

Wow… He’s so cheeky. He has his first wife in Korea. He abandoned her and fled to the US, where he remarried, acting like a single man. When his American wife found out, he called his first wife in Korea. She tried to cancel the marriage license, but for the sake of their child, she divorced him. She let him take custody of the child because otherwise he would be an illegal immigrant. With the child in his custody, he could have gotten citizenship. His whole life is a case of fraud… He cut off contact with his first wife for over two decades, but then suddenly, he registered a child in her name. I guess JTBC doesn’t care enough about doing background checks on contestants, but they are contributing to the potential ruin of other women’s lives on that show…

Other comments claimed that when the American wife found out about the abandoned Korean wife, he divorced her. Another person, who claimed to have met Lee at the same Dallas church, claimed there was a third wife involved.

Other longtime Dallas residents have also commented that Lee’s marriage to his third wife is not over. According to the charges, Lee is still legally married to his third wife, but he left her to flee to Korea after taking out a $35,000 (USD) loan.

I live in Dallas. And he is definitely a scammer. From what I understand, he hasn’t even officially divorced his third wife. Yet, he’s all over TV like that… The Korean production team screwed up. Doesn’t it matter that he got married in the US? I’m not very close to his third wife, but I know her. After watching episode 2 of Last love… It left me puzzled. How could he do something like this? I heard he took out a $35,000 loan and didn’t make a single payment before running away to Korea. This will destroy his credit, but I guess he has no intention of returning to the United States.
