Jo leaves DXMON 8 months after debut
On September 29th, H Musical entertainment officially announced that Jo, a member of DXMON, will be leaving the group. The agency shared a statement confirming Jo’s departure, marking the end of her activities with the boy group. From now on, DXMON will continue to promote as a five-member group.
“Jo has recently been on hiatus for health reasons and, after serious discussions with us, it has been decided that he will end his activities as [a member of] DXMON,” we read in the press release. “From now on, DXMON will promote itself as a five-member group, and we ask you to also send your warm support to Jo, who will embark on a new path.”
Jo had been on hiatus since June 11, 2024period during which he suspended his activities with the group for personal reasons. While fans were hoping for his return, this recent announcement clarified his definitive exit.
DXMON moves forward
DXMON, originally a six-member boy group, is under H Music Entertainment (formerly known as NV Entertainment and SSQ Entertainment). The group currently consists of Minjae, Seita, Hee, TK and Rex. Despite Jo’s departure, DXMON is expected to continue their activities and maintain their momentum in the K-pop scene.
DXMON first gained attention with their pre-debut single, released on January 1, 2024, giving fans a taste of their potential. The group officially debuted just over two weeks later on January 17, 2024, with their mini album titled ‘Hyperspace’. The album showcased the group’s unique musical style and energetic performances, earning them a growing fan base.
