Jo Bo-ah made her first public appearance since her wedding at a press conference for the new Disney+ original series “Knock-Off,” held on Nov. 21 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center in Singapore. Jo Bo-ah, who married her non-famous husband in a private ceremony at the Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul on October 12, postponed her honeymoon to focus on filming the series.
At the event, Jo Bo-ah introduced her character, Hye-jeong, saying: “Hye-jeong is Kim Seong-jun’s first love, but later becomes involved in counterfeit goods control as a public official. Even though she was his first love in the beginning, their relationship eventually becomes antagonistic.” He added, “The series reflects modern Korean history from the 1990s and 2000s, and it is an honor to have it air on Disney+. I hope for a lot of affection and support from the public.”
“Knock-Off” tells the story of a man whose life was dramatically changed by the IMF crisis, going from an ordinary employee to king of the global counterfeiting market. The series, directed by Park Hyun-seok (Stranger 2) and written by Han Jung-hoon (Bad Guys), stars Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah.
The 18-episode series will be released in two parts: 9 episodes in the first half of 2025 and the remaining 9 episodes in the second half, exclusively on Disney+.
