Jiyeon appears to have moved into a new house after her divorce, revealing a new space with a different vibe than before.
Jiyeon officially announced her divorce from professional baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun (37, KT Wiz) on October 5. His legal representative from Taesung Law Firm said: “The couple was unable to overcome their differences and, after a period of separation, decided to divorce. The divorce mediation process is currently underway in the Seoul Family Court.”
Through her legal representative, Jiyeon said: “I’m sorry to welcome you with bad news. We mutually agreed to proceed with the divorce mediation process.Hwang Jae-gyun added:Due to personality differences, after much discussion, we decided to separate and ultimately divorce. We have already submitted the request for divorce mediation to the Seoul Family Court and intend to conclude the process amicably.“
Jiyeon and Hwang Jae-gyun went public with their relationship in February 2022 after six months of dating and got married in December of the same year. They have recently been surrounded by rumors of separation and divorce. In June, rumors of their divorce were even mentioned during a baseball broadcast on KNN, which Jiyeon’s team denied at the time.
