In the third season of MBN’s “Let’s Go Go”, CEO Kim acknowledged past conflicts between T-ARA members, stating: “I asked Hwayoung and her twin sister Hyoyoung to bring their contracts and tear them up, telling them, “Go away.” I will release you without any conditions. Amid this, fans started asking Jiyeon to clarify whether she really slapped Hwayoung. This request surfaced due to a comment left by an individual who claimed to know Hwayoung. The commenter, identified as “A,” wrote on Hwayoung’s post, “Our Hwayoung, who even got slapped by a certain member.“
The reason this comment gained attention is that it is in line with previous rumors about Jiyeon and Hwayoung’s relationship. In 2012, when the bullying allegations initially surfaced, a person identified as a backup dancer for T-ARA, “B”, claimed that Jiyeon had slapped Hwayoung, which caused controversy. The T-ARA agency denied the rumor at the time, calling it “baseless”. However, A’s recent comment has reignited the rumor, with netizens now calling for Jiyeon to address the issue.
