Jinyoung says GOT7’s comeback will happen soon
On November 7, Jinyoung was discharged, marking the end of his military stint and the beginning of a new chapter in his career. Fans were thrilled when fellow GOT7 members Yugyeom and BamBam made a surprise appearance to celebrate his returnshowing the close bond within the group and their excitement at reuniting.
In an interview following his leave, Jinyoung hinted at exciting projects on the horizon, including GOT7’s long-awaited return. He shared that the group has already started discussing their next album. “We are working hard to prepare the GOT7 album,” he revealed, adding that the timing of the return is particularly significant as some members are preparing for their enlistment.
Jinyoung explained, “We want to release an album soon first [their enlistments] to repay the fans.” The group’s commitment to staying connected to their fans, even amidst personal commitments, has many eagerly anticipating what they have in store.
Jinyoung also offered insights into his post-military plans in acting. Filming of his new drama “Unknown Seoul” (literal title), starring Park Bo Young, will begin soon. The project marks his first acting effort since his leave and he has expressed excitement at the prospect of returning to the screen. Additionally, fans can expect “The Witch,” a Channel A drama that Jinyoung filmed before his enlistment, which will soon allow viewers to see him in action once again.
