On the October 20th episode of SBS variety show “Running Man” (episode 724), Ji Ye-eun talked about her past experiences preparing to join a girl group. The show also featured “Mr. Plankton” actors Woo Do-hwan and Lee Yoo-mi as guests.
During a game mission where the cast competed for lunch and extra coins, Yoo Jae-suk jokingly suggested that Ji Ye-eun dance, “Since we made a mistake, let’s ask Ye-eun to show us some moves.” Although initially taken by surprise, Ji Ye-eun agreed and performed “Be My Baby” by Wonder Girls, a dance she had learned during her training days.
Ji Seok-jin then asked her if she had learned dance while dreaming of becoming a member of a girl group, and when she confirmed, he jokingly revealed, “Then why did you fail the SM auditions?” Ji Ye-eun, embarrassed, replied, “Why are you talking about this live?”
Kim Jong-kook joined in, asking if she also auditioned for JYP, to which Ji Seok-jin humorously added, “He failed everything except YG’s audition, which he didn’t even try for.” This playful joke made the cast and audience laugh.
Later in the episode, when it was Haha’s turn, “Running Man” family member Shin Ye-eun’s profile photo appeared on the screen, but Haha couldn’t recognize it at first. Kim Jong-kook also jokingly complained about how actors’ profile photos make them look so different, saying: “They are already beautiful, but in these photos they are even more beautiful! We can’t say who they are!” This led to more laughter when Kim Jong-kook teased Song Ji-hyo, saying that she wouldn’t be recognizable in his profile photos either, leading to a hilarious moment on set.
