Ji Chang-wook wins Top Excellence Award for “Welcome to Samdalri” + List of Winners [2024 APAN Star Awards]

The 2024 APAN Star Awards ceremony took place on December 28 at Art Hall 1 of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.

After receiving the Maximum Male Excellence Award (dramatic medium-length film) for ‘Welcome to Samdalri’, Ji Chang-wook expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am sincerely grateful. Seeing the list of nominees, I feel even more grateful to the judges who made this decision.”

He continued: “It’s the end of the year and there are so many awards ceremonies going on, but today feels particularly special. I realize that there are so many people I should thank and I have decided that, moving forward, I should express my gratitude more often in everyday life.” He then thanked his team and his collaborators, saying: “To Welcome to Samdalri team, my senior and junior colleagues, the Samdal-ri residents who cooperated with us, and Director Cha Young-hoon, who worked tirelessly because of me, I sincerely thank you.”

He concluded his speech with: “I will continue to work hard. Please continue to support me. Thank you and happy new year!”

The APAN Star Awards 2024 is a comprehensive awards ceremony that includes productions from terrestrial, cable and OTT channels. It is hosted by the Korea Entertainment Management Association and Seoul Business Agency and organized by the Korea Entertainment Management Association and Guardians Company.

This year’s ceremony awarded 19 categories for dramas broadcast between November 2023 and October 2024.
