Jessi faces accusations of ignoring fan aggression linked to gang connections

Jessi is facing serious charges for allegedly ignoring the assault of a minor fan by her associate, named A, during an incident in Gangnam. Following the event, A’s personal details were leaked online, leading netizens to claim A’s affiliation with a triad based on social media posts and photos.

Lawyer Son Soo-ho proposed hypotheses as to why Jessi might have ignored the onslaught of fans. He suggested, “First, it is possible that neither Jessi nor producer Koala knew about the incident. Secondly, being with a famous singer like Jessi could have led to an attempt to cover it up. Third, Jessi may know the attacker but be in a difficult position to disclose.”

Additionally, the Koala producer who was with Jessi during the attack is also suspected of being a member of the Korea Outlaws, a Korean gang based in Los Angeles, due to a tattoo on his arm that reportedly shortens the name of the band.

Jessi is accused of remaining passive when an underage fan, who requested a photo, was assaulted by her associate, A, in Apgujeong, Gangnam, on September 29. The victim reported the incident to the police shortly after it happened, and authorities later discovered Jessi’s party at a bar in Apgujeong, but claimed they did not know A.

Subsequently, Jessi, the producer of Koala and two others were sued by the victim. On October 16, Jessi showed up at the Gangnam Police Station for questioning, stating: “I hope that the person who hit the fan will be found soon. I saw the attacker for the first time that day.”

However, her photos with the Koala producer and one netizen’s claims about past assaults by Jessi and her friends have raised questions about her honesty. In light of the controversy, Jessi terminated her contract with her agency, DOD.
