Jeon Hye-jin returns to the small screen as a “working mom” after leaving the late Lee Sun-kyun

“Riding Life” (directed by Kim Chul-gyu, written by Sung Yoon-ah and Jo Won-dong, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Betty & Creators) captures the intense yet heartfelt lives of three generations in Daechi-dong. It tells the story of Jung Eun, a passionate working mother who prepares her daughter for the so-called “7-year-old entrance exam”. He enlists his mother, Ji-ah, to manage the academy’s hectic travels. The “7-year-old entry exam” is a newly developed term that refers to admission tests to prestigious English academies. The drama humorously and vividly portrays the competitive world of private early childhood education.

The character posters reveal the different perspectives and thoughts of the three women, adding intrigue to the plot. Jung Eun (played by Jeon Hye-jin), a passionate working mom who doesn’t want to sacrifice her career or the education of her daughter, Ji-ah (played by Jo Min-soo), who reluctantly takes on the task shuttling her niece to the academies and Jung Eun’s adorable daughter, Hong Seo-yoon (played by Kim Sa-rang), each express their unique emotions through lively emoticons.

Jeon Hye-jin showcases the busy life of a working mom, rushing from her office to her parenting duties. The slogan “Mom will be here soon, just wait” captures his hectic routine and hints at his deep commitment to his daughter’s education.

Jo Min-soo, with the caption “Does being a mother mean knowing everything?” and a bewildered expression, alludes to the tension between mother and daughter. Ji-ah, as she dives into the world of academic jousting with her granddaughter, finds herself reflecting on her days as a parent and her relationship with her daughter.

Child actress Kim Sa-rang, who plays Hong Seo-yoon, Jung Eun’s daughter, radiates charm with her innocent smile and quip, “I’ll do whatever mommy loves”, showing her adorable and lively presence. Acting as a bridge between Jung Eun and Ji-ah, Kim Sa-rang’s role as Seo-yoon suggests the emergence of a promising new child star.
