Jennie tops October’s individual brand reputation rankings

According to the results of October Girl Group’s Individual Brand Reputation analysis, released by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute on October 20, BLACKPINK’s Jennie took first place, followed by aespa’s Karina in second place and IVE’s Jang Wonyoung in third place.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute mined 135,672,895 big data from September 20 to October 20 for brand reputation analysis of 680 individual girl group members. They used consumer behavior analysis to generate the participation index, media index, communication index and community index. Compared to the 100,242,961 data analyzed in September, this is an increase of 35.34%.

The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand big data analysis, which identifies how consumers’ online habits significantly influence brand consumption. The analysis measures positive and negative ratings, media attention, consumer interest and communication volume related to individual girl group members. It also includes a brand value assessment to gauge its influence.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who ranked first, had a participation index of 2,428,883, a media index of 3,383,206, a communication index of 3,647,643 and a community index of 4,711,735, for a total of a brand reputation index of 14,171,467. This represents an increase of 409.24% compared to September’s brand reputation index of 2,782,844.

The head of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Koo Chang-hwan, said: “According to the October 2024 big data analysis of Girl Group’s individual brand reputation, BLACKPINK’s Jennie ranked first. Compared to the big data of the Girl Group Individual Brand in September, an increase of 35.34% was recorded. A more detailed analysis shows a 13.53% increase in brand consumption, a 22.96% increase in brand issues, a 48.83% increase in brand communication, and a 41.56% increase in diffusion of the brand.

He continued, “The brand analysis of BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who ranked first in October, showed high results for the keywords “return”, “try” and “sexy” in the link analysis, while “Mantra” appeared , “LA” and “BLACKPINK” featured prominently in the keyword analysis. The positive-negative ratio analysis showed a positive sentiment of 92.07%.”
