In a video titled A dip in the cold with JENNIE on Vogue’s official YouTube channel on the 10th, Jennie revealed her personal recovery method.
In the video, Jennie presented cold immersion as a way to maintain his health. He explained that cold soaking is more than just a habit, but an essential process for both mental and physical recovery. Jennie shared, “I started it to recover from the exhaustion I accumulated during touring and performing.”
He continued, “At that time I didn’t know what to do. When my muscles were stiff and my body tense, cold dips taught me to accept that tension.
Jennie also mentioned, “Thanks to this, I gained the strength to overcome difficulties in my personal life and creative work. When I was working on an album, it helped me cope mentally. Over the past few months, I have been able to refresh both my body and mind by soaking in the cold every night while carrying out my work.
He emphasized that cold immersion isn’t just about cold water; it is a challenge that tests and helps you overcome your limits, becoming a reset button in everyday life. Jennie believes that through this experience she has become stronger and encourages fans to find their own ways to take care of themselves.
Previously, Jennie completed BLACKPINK BORN PINK World tour 2022 to 2023. The tour, which began in Seoul and traveled across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, attracted 2.11 million fans and earned $330 million in revenue.
However, the busy tour schedule took a toll on Jennie’s health. During a concert in Australia last June, she was unable to finish the show due to health problems. YG Entertainment then explained: “We apologize to the fans who supported BLACKPINK and came to the venue. Jennie wanted to continue with the show but, following the advice of the medical staff on site, we took immediate steps to ensure she was properly rested and recovered.
They added, “Jennie expressed her apologies for not being able to perform until the end and her intention to recover quickly.”
Jennie worked hard to recover and successfully concluded the world tour in September at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. She continued to remain active, releasing the single Mantras the 11th.
