Jennie, preparing for the release of her first solo album “Ruby”, hosted a special listening party in Seoul on February 27. Held at the Hyundai Card Music Library, the event allowed fans to experience all 15 tracks from the album before its official release.
The party was divided into two sessions, each with surprise guests: Zico and Yeo Jin-goo, who acted as McS. Together with Jennie, they discussed the realization of the album, his concept and the intuitions shared with the fans.
Explaining the meaning behind the appointment of his first solo album “Ruby”, Jennie shared, “I wanted to become an artist who could open and close the curtains of my show. In that process, I thought of the red curtains of a theater and, after a little reflection, I decided the concept of Ruby. I wanted to instill my identity in this first solo album. “
Jennie continued, “The goal of this album is to demonstrate that I can do it alone. If my fans continue to support me, I will not be afraid. I hope they listen to the album and think: “This is Jennie’s taste”.
During the event, Jennie answered questions subjected to fans, including the reason why he decided to make shows of “Experience Ruby Experience”. He explained that he wanted to quickly share the traces of the album with the fans and experience the emotions together. The shows will present all the traces of “Ruby” and take place in Los Angeles, New York and Soul.
While the event ended, Jennie expressed its gratitude, saying: “Even if it still remains a week, I am so happy and grateful that the weather has come to share this album with you. I hope you all feel happy and I will continue to bring you good music.”
The album “Ruby” will officially be released on March 7 and the “Ruby Experience” shows will begin in Los Angeles on March 6-7, followed by shows in New York on March 10 and Seoul on March 15th.
