The Japanese police arrested a 75 -year -old woman in the Ibaraki prefecture after confessing to hide his daughter’s body in a freezer for two decades, a case that shocked the public and attracted the attention of the widespread media.
According to the authorities, on September 24, Keiko Mori went to the police station with a relative and admitted to hiding the remains of his daughter. The investigators later discovered the body of an adult woman inside a large freezer at Mori’s house. The freezer measured 95 cm in length, 85 cm wide and 60 cm in height.

The deceased is believed to be Makiko, Mori’s daughter, born in 1975. If I live today, he would be 50 years old. The police confirmed that the body was already in an advanced decomposition phase. At the time of the discovery, the woman was dressed in a shirt and an underwear, found in a position on its knees with her head bent forward inside the freezer.
Mori told the police that he bought the freezer to contain the smell that he spread through the house after his daughter’s death. It was arrested for suspicion of the illegal disposal of a body.
The authorities revealed that Mori had other children but did not reveal details about them or their testimonies. The family members discovered Makiko’s body only when they gathered at Mori’s house after the recent death of her husband at the beginning of this month.
