In the month of November, LIPa Japanese beauty application AppBrewconducted a survey titled “The Face You Wish You Were Right Now.”
A total of 2,046 participants in their teens to 40s responded, revealing that, among Japanese teenagers, K-Pop girl group idols Jang Wonyoung, Sana, Karina and Wonhee had the “most desired faces.”
In 2023, for the same survey, Japanese teenagers chose Jang Wonyoung, Karina and NMIXX‘S Sullyoon. LIP commented, “After last year’s dominance of Korean idols taking the top 3 spots, it’s clear that there is a strong admiration for Korean idols among teenagers.”
It seems that teenagers of this generation admire “cuteness”. The current trend of sharing unedited photos, particularly among Gen Z, may have influenced this, as teens believe important features such as large eyes, clear, flawless skin and other facial features are key points of beauty.
