According to TV Chosun on December 10, Go So-young’s first reality show was officially canceled after internal discussions. The reasons for its cancellation were not disclosed.
In October, TV Chosun announced that Go would star in a reality show focused on the theme of “rest.” The concept involved Go opening the doors of a house she personally designed and decorated. This marked his first significant activity in seven years since his drama Perfect lady (2017). However, the show ultimately did not air, leaving fans disappointed.
Jang Dong-gun also faced professional disappointment for his new film A normal familywhich failed to meet expectations despite early rumors of invitations to international film festivals. The film marked Jang’s return to the big screen after six years. Before his release, Jang expressed enthusiasm in media interviews, saying: “The reactions around me have been very positive, so I have high hopes.” Unfortunately, audiences weren’t as enthusiastic.
Directed by Heo Jin-ho, A normal family is a well-made suspense film about four individuals whose lives spiral out of control after discovering footage of their children’s criminal activities on CCTV. Despite a strong premise, the film failed to reach the break-even point of 1.5 million viewers, attracting only 640,000 viewers.
