J-Pop boy group 9bic removed member Taiga Sasaki from the group after he was arrested for trespassing in a women’s-only area of a hotel’s public restroom.
Taiga Sasaki joined 9bic in June 2024, as part of the group’s ongoing member rotations. 9bicoperated by WAIWAI inc, originally debuted in 2019 and has seen several lineup changes since then.
According to reports, Sasaki entered the women’s section of a hotel bathroom and remained there for approximately ten minutes before hotel staff discovered the intrusion and contacted authorities. The police later arrested him.


Following the incident, WAIWAI inc released a statement: “Due to a confirmed serious compliance violation, Sasaki Taiga has been removed from the group and his contract with the agency has been terminated after careful consideration.”
The group’s official website has already been updated to reflect the current lineup, which now includes just four members.

The group’s scheduled performance on November 8 was canceled due to the sudden lineup change, but it is confirmed that their next performance on November 15 will proceed as planned. Fans and the public reacted strongly to the news, given the severity of the incident and the idol’s short stay in the group.
