IVE‘S Yujin recently spoke during an episode of “Yoo Quiz On The Block” about the hardships he endured on “Produce 48” and beyond.
He shared that this was his first experience with difficult times. He thought others would have a positive reaction towards him.
What I still remember to this day is how difficult the audition schedule was for me. I think it was the first real struggle I experienced. I went into it thinking, “I’m going to get a lot of love and support.”

While it had many fans, there were also some haters. This was the first time he had dealt with this kind of people.
But it was on that show that I realized there are people who don’t like me.

She was surrounded only by the love of fans, although that didn’t stop hate from surfacing on the Internet. At a young age, he accepted the fact that people always have something unkind to say.
I mean, in our everyday lives, we don’t really encounter people who say to our face something like, “I don’t like you.” Do you know? I think I needed some time to digest the fact that there are some people who just hate me even though I haven’t done anything wrong.

She felt “trapped” by what people were saying about her online at the time.
Every week viewers voted on our ranking and we had to present ourselves in that order. I think that’s when I started to feel trapped by all the reactions on the internet.

At the age of 15, Yujin was extremely young to face such harsh criticism. However, it seems that this has made her stronger and developed a positive mindset to move forward.
