IVE member Jang Wonyoung has purchased a luxury villa in Seoul’s prestigious Hannam-dong UN Village for 13.7 billion won (about $10 million) in cash.
The property, a 244 square meter unit in Lucid House, was purchased in March and the property was officially registered at the end of October. No mortgage has been registered, confirming that the purchase was made entirely in cash, for Allkpop.
Lucid House is one of the most exclusive residential complexes in UN Village, an elite neighborhood in Hannam-dong known for its stunning panoramic views of both the Han River and Namsan Tower.
The Lucid House complex consists of just 15 units spread across its two buildings, making the residence extremely rare and sought after. The villa offers privacy features, including a 24-hour security system and individual elevators for each unit.
The property has notable history, having previously been the home of actress Kim Tae-hee before her marriage to singer and actor Rain. The seller of the villa was Lee Ji-yong, former CEO of Daerim Commerce and scion of conglomerate DL Group, adding a level of prestige to the transaction.
Jang Wonyoung, who is 21 years old, is a member of girl group IVE, which recently released its fourth mini-album titled “I HAVE A SECRET.” The group’s popularity continues to grow, as evidenced by their sold-out solo concerts at the KSPO Dome. The purchase of this luxury mansion highlights their success and growing prominence not only as an artist but also as a young individual making significant investments.
Lucid House units initially sold for over four billion won when they were first launched in 2007, maintaining their status as a high-value property within UN Village. Known for its rigorous security and exclusivity, Lucid House offers residents luxurious living spaces with spectacular views and high-end amenities.
