“IU CIA Report Completed” certification on impeachment support list causes stir

Some individuals have compiled a list of these celebrities and even reported them to the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), sparking controversy.

On various online communities and social media platforms, there have been a series of posts claiming that figures such as singer IU had been reported to the CIA, with “evidence” of such actions being shared.

The CIA operates a reporting website where people can submit reports by entering an email, phone number and details of an incident.

Those who reported IU and others are encouraging more reporting on other celebrities, even distributing a “Yoon Suk-yeol Impeachment Support List.”

The list includes names like IU, NewJeans, Kim Eana, Go Min-si, Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Seung-hwan, Yuri, Moonbyul and Park Hyo-shin. It also features artists from various fields, including Choi Min-sik, Lee Dong-wook, Heo Sung-tae, Hwang Dong-hyuk, Yoon Il-sang, Park Myung-soo and Bong Joon-ho.

Following the creation of the list, there were additional posts claiming CIA reporting certifications against these individuals.

Protests calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol have continued since the December 3 martial law incident. Several celebrities directly supported citizens attending these meetings. Figures like IU, NewJeans, Yuri, and director Park Chan-wook prepaid coffee, bread, and meals for citizens near Yeouido.

Additionally, some celebrities have publicly expressed support for President Yoon’s impeachment.

In this regard, some netizens have proposed boycotting advertisements involving these celebrities. However, these calls have met with significant backlash. Likewise, the wave of CIA reporting faced harsh criticism instead of gaining widespread support.
