Fans have expressed disappointment with the cover of ITZY’s new album.
Korean netizens created a thread in the community, titled “Is ITZY’s album cover real?” The author uploaded ITZY’s album cover for “GOLD”, released on October 15th.
In the caption, the OP wondered if JYP Entertainment was still investing in the group. “Not even small and medium-sized businesses choose album covers like these these days.”
Korean and international MIDZYs in the comments agree with the “lack of style” of the cover. They also criticized JYP Entertainment for not putting much “tact” into the cover art and matching it with the album’s name. Read their comments below:
- “What does ‘Gold’ mean in this? I don’t understand.”
- “Wow, that sucks, why can’t they match the name ‘Gold’?”
- “How did JYP get like this? They really lost all tact.”
- “It’s nice but there’s nothing ‘Gold’ about it. It just doesn’t fit the concept of their return at all.”
- “A release called Gold, and they invented this?”
- “The M/V looked expensive but this is the best they can do for the album cover? lol.”
- “There’s no gold in it.”
- “It really looks like something out of a group of nugu girls.”
