ITZYthe long awaited album GOLD made its debut on October 15, marking a significant return for the members Leah after a break from group activities for health reasons.
The album contains 11 tracks, including lead singles “Gold” and “Imaginary Friend”. Additionally, it includes five re-recorded songs from their previous 2024 release, Born to bewith the entire group performing as a quintet.

Despite the great surrounding expectations GOLD – fueled mostly by its teasers: initial reactions from Korean netizens were disappointing. Many have expressed excitement over the concept and previews of the sound, but now that the full album is out, the response has been mixed. In particular, Korean fans seem less than enthusiastic about the title track “Gold,” finding it lacking in comparison to their expectations.
Some netizens expressed their disappointment, pointing out that while the visuals and overall production quality were impressive, the song itself failed to live up to expectations. For many, the excitement created by the teaser tunes did not carry over to the final version, leaving them wanting more from the group’s musical direction.
