TWS has finally released its official lightstick, but the product has received mixed reviews among netizens due to its quirky design.
On January 6, Korean netizens created a community thread, titled: The TWS Lightstick is teased in real time. The forum’s author posted the group’s official video for the lightstick reveal. In the video, it was revealed that the lightstick has a rectangular shape, which can also retract and change color.
The video also shows that the lightstick will be accompanied by adorable stickers representing TWS members.
The post then included reaction tweets from Korean fans, poking fun at the lightsticks’ design.
“As soon as the glow stick came out it only led to the creation of mocking memes,” one commented.
In the thread, some netizens argued that the light bar failed to bring out TWS’s identity.
One netizen commented: “The light bar doesn’t scream ‘TWS’ to me.”
“Its design looks good, but it doesn’t match TWS,” said a second.
However, some netizens found the glow stick adorable, while others compared the glow stick’s design to that of an ice cream bar. International fans also joined the discussion and shared how unique the merchandise was compared to common “dome” light sticks.
