Chinese actress Jiang Shuying has once again become a major talking point after reports emerged on December 4 that she secretly gave birth to her first child abroad during a six-month disappearance from the public eye.
According to Sohu, insiders revealed that Jiang Shuying traveled abroad to give birth to a baby girl. Since pregnancy before marriage remains a sensitive issue in Chinese entertainment that often affects a female celebrity’s public image and endorsement value, she reportedly chose not to reveal the news.
Sources say Jiang Shuying chose to stay abroad for over six months after giving birth, waiting until both she and the baby were healthy and until she could recover her pre-pregnancy figure to avoid public suspicion.
