Previously, Kim Sae-ron had uploaded several photos to her personal account, only to delete them within minutes.
The photos showed Kim Sae-ron and a man dressed in all-black couple outfits, sharing affectionate moments. In the photos, Kim Sae-ron hugged the man from behind or held his hand while smiling brightly.
Although the man’s face was blurry, his attractive features were evident even in the blurry image.
What caught the most attention was the caption that accompanied the post, which read “Marry.” This led to speculation as to whether Kim Sae-ron was getting married or whether the photos were part of a wedding photoshoot.
However, Kim Sae-ron’s side explained through a media outlet: “Marriage isn’t real.” She famously made an ambiguous statement regarding why she revealed and then deleted the photo, saying: “It’s going to be hard to explain.”
Meanwhile, in May 2022, Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk driving accident near Hakdong Intersection in Gangnam, Seoul. She crashed into a guardrail, trees and a transformer. At the time he had refused the breathalyzer and requested a blood test, which revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.2%, higher than the threshold for canceling his driving licence.
In April 2023, Kim Sae-ron was fined KRW 20 million (approximately US$13,700) for drunken driving charges and halted her activities, with one of her appearances allegedly canceled due to criticism from the public. The actress then gave acting lessons and also worked at a bar for a living, but continued to cause trouble by starting her dating rumors with Kim Soo-hyun.
However, in November 2024, it was announced that Kim Sae-ron would return with the film “Guitar Man”, the filming of which has already been completed and is expected to be released in the first half of this year.
