On the November 28 broadcast of the SBS variety program My grumpy managerLee Seo-jin, together with comedian Kim Kwang-kyu, took on the role of manager of the group ALLDAY PROJECT, leading to surprising family revelations about member Annie.
Lee Seo-jin revealed that he has known Annie’s family for decades, saying: “I’ve known her mom since elementary school and her dad since high school. I’ve watched Annie since she was born, so it’s amazing to see her succeed right away.”
During a group dinner after the filming schedule, Annie shared her thoughts and concerns about working in the entertainment industry. Lee Seo-jin reassured her: “It’s okay. It’s better to stay fresh and genuine than try to be perfect. No one starts by being skilled. Take your time. Your father must be very worried.”
Co-member Woochan noted Annie’s similarities to her father, exclaiming, “You look so much like your father. It’s creepy.”
The discussion then turned to Annie’s debut and her musical education. Lee Seo-jin revealed: “I knew he was training as an apprentice, but his mother never agreed. A successful debut is important, but achieving instant fame is even more difficult.”
Adding more information about the family, Lee Seo-jin shared: “Annie’s father is funny and loves music. He didn’t read much as a child, but he was always rapping. Whenever family or friends got together, they would set up a karaoke machine and Annie would rap duets with her father. Her musical talent clearly comes from him.”
Annie confirmed the ritual: “Whenever we have family gatherings, my dad and I always do karaoke rap duets. It’s a tradition in our family.” Lee Seo-jin added, “Her father is brilliant academically, but his English rapping skills are insane. Annie definitely inherited her musical talent from him.”
