Indian actress Nidhhi Agerwal was reportedly subjected to harassment after she was surrounded by a huge crowd during a promotional appearance at a mall in Kukatpally, India, sparking widespread outrage online.
According to The Tatva, the incident occurred when Nidhhi Agerwal attended a promotional event for her upcoming film The Raja Saab. Upon leaving the shopping center, the actress was suddenly surrounded by a huge number of people who rushed towards her to ask for autographs and photos.
Viral footage circulating on social media shows thousands of people breaking through security barriers to get close to the actress. The situation quickly degenerated into chaos, with loud shouts and crowd surges making it almost impossible for security personnel to maintain control.
In the midst of the disorder, several men allegedly took advantage of the situation to physically harass and grope the actress.
Visibly shaken, Nidhhi Agerwal struggled along with her bodyguards to escape the crowd and reach her vehicle. Even after getting into the car, she looked distressed, fixing her disheveled dress and covering her face in frustration and shock.
According to India Today, local police later confirmed that the event organizers had not obtained official permission for such a large public gathering. Authorities also said that no formal security measures had been put in place to handle a crowd of that size.
The lack of preparation and crowd control has since become a focal point of public criticism.
Following the release of the video, netizens expressed anger and concern, condemning the organizers for failing to protect the actress. Many have called for accountability, pointing out that such negligence puts celebrities, especially women, at serious risk.

Deccan Chronicle quoted a source close to the actress, revealing that Nidhhi Agerwal was left deeply traumatized by the incident and reportedly suffered from anxiety and insomnia in the aftermath.
“She was extremely shaken,” the source said. “Being trapped in a chaotic crowd without adequate security is terrifying. Organizers must take responsibility.”
