On January 5, Changjo took to social media to personally share the news with fans. He wrote, “Some of you may already know this, while others may be surprised to hear this,” before stating openly, “Everyone, I’m currently in a relationship.”
Changjo explained that whenever something significant changes in his life, whether it’s joyful news or a more sensitive issue, he always wanted to be honest with fans. He shared that he didn’t want the news to come lightly, choosing instead to speak only after his thoughts and emotions had completely calmed so he could communicate calmly and sincerely.
Reflecting on his 16 years since his debut, Changjo expressed deep gratitude towards his fans, calling them people who helped him transform his shortcomings into positive growth through constant support and encouragement. He said writing the message was his way of expressing his sincere appreciation to those who gave him the strength to endure difficult times for more than a decade.
Changjo was careful to reassure fans that his announcement would not change his attitude towards his career or performing on stage. Instead, he explained that his personal and professional life has become more stable, allowing him to focus even more on the music and stage he loves most.
He also acknowledged that some fans may feel disappointed or confused by his decision.
