Suzy was born in Gwangju in 1994. It is said that in 2009, a JYP official singled her out while going to the bathroom. She made it through Superstar K’s Gwangju regional preliminary round, but was ultimately eliminated. The official waited 8 hours to convince her.

She was already famous in childhood for having perfect vision. When she was in eighth grade, she worked part-time as an online shopping model. With a mature look, people thought she was a high school student, so she received casting offers from agencies 3 times a day.
