Singer Soyou and actress Park Ha Sun revealed that they were victims of deepfakes on MBC’s crime news program Hidden eye.

Sitting next to host Kim Sung Joo, martial artist Kim Dong Hyun and actress Park Ha Sun, Soyou explained that crimes could happen to anyone, as it happened to her.

In the episode, profiler Pyo Chang Won analyzed deepfake crimes, prompting the actress to talk about her personal experience.

“I am actually a victim of deepfake crimes,” he said.

Soyou revealed that she was the victim of maliciously altered images even before the term “deepfake” became widespread.

The “Some” singer added that she has experienced mental distress due to the spread of a deepfake video using her face.

Park Ha Sun, known for her roles in Divorce camp AND Temptationrevealed that she discovered her deepfakes when fans alerted her to them.

“Seeing them made me feel like the blood had drained from my body,” she said on the show.

The actress explained that she had been pursuing the charges against the perpetrator for three years and was speechless when she found out who they were.

The perpetrator, he revealed, was a university professor who claimed to have been his fan for years. Park explained that they had attended a fan meeting and used a photo they took of her to create the deepfakes.
