“I don’t have good conversations…”

Ahead of SMTOWN LIVE 2025, SNSD Taeyeon confirmed her absence and hinted at “bad blood” with the label.

On January 11th and 12th, SM Entertainment will hold a two-day family concert to celebrate its 30th founding day. The event will be held at the Gocheok City Dome and is expected to attract over 25,000 spectators.

Before the long-awaited concert, the lineup was also revealed on November 15th. It will feature artists from five K-pop generations: Kangta, BoA, TVXQ!, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, WayV, aespa, naevis and RIIZE.

In the poster, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon’s names were included as participants, but the former quickly denied this announcement.

“I don’t think I will appear at SMTOWN’s next concert. I haven’t been having good conversations with the label lately. I’m not sure why my name is still included on the poster. I have no idea what their plan is.”

During her live stream, Taeyeon continued to complain about communication issues with SM.

“Why didn’t SM tell me about Weverse Live? SM, do you see it? Are there any SM staff here?”

Following this incident, SONEs (SNSD fans) are disappointed but not surprised by the lack of communication from SM since the company moved to SM 3.0, the new system after Lee Soo Man left.

This isn’t the first time the female icon has expressed her frustration with the agency. In the past, he has reported them for mismanagement and safety.

SONE’s anger increased after the star released his sixth EP “Letter to Myself” on November 18. Although the mini-album received rave reviews, fans were unhappy with its lack of promotional efforts that some K-pop fans didn’t even know had a new release.
