i-dle’s Miyeon and Yuqi share honest conflicts behind their strong teamwork: “Honesty is the KEY!”

Appearing in a video uploaded to KBS Kpop YouTube Channel On January 29, Yuqi responded to a fan’s question about who usually “wins” when she and Miyeon argue, saying: “We don’t have a winner. That’s not how we see it.” Miyeon echoed his sentiment, explaining, “We always try to find a middle ground, but because everyone is so different, it can take a long time.”

Miyeon continued by recalling a particularly intense moment from the past, admitting: “There was a moment when I was arguing with Yuqi and I was so dizzy that I said, ‘I’m sorry, but I have to go out.’” His comment drew laughter by underscoring how seriously the two take problem solving.

Another member, Minnie, shared how Shuhua’s advice helped change the group dynamic. “When Shuhua appeared before, she said that fighting can actually be a good thing,” Minnie said. “After hearing this, I told the members, ‘From now on, let’s not talk about things anymore. If something is wrong, let’s just say it.'” He added, “Once we started being honest, things really got better. We got closer because of that.”

Yuqi also explained his approach to the conflict, saying: “I’m not the type to put things off until the next day.” He underlined, “If you want a relationship to last a long time, you have to be honest.” Miyeon agreed, admitting, “Apologizing is genuinely embarrassing” but stressed, “If you want to apologize, you have to be sincere about it.”

Since his debut in 2018, i-dle has released numerous hit songs including Tomboy, Queencard, Oh My God and Hwaa. The group recently returned with new digital single “Mono” on January 27, receiving praise for its strong melody and heartfelt message.
