A deeply emotional moment unfolded in the finale of Battle of destinies when rock singer Kim Jae Hee appeared as the final customer and was confronted a shocking spiritual claim: a shaman said that his late wife had not yet left the world.
The final episode of Battle of destinies — a Disney+ reality program where fortune tellers compete to solve real-life cases – was released on March 4th. The first 3 participants, Seolhwa, Lee Sobin and Yoon Daeman, faced their last mission: help clients who have lost loved ones by bringing to light unresolved emotions related to the deceased.
Among the customers was Kim Jae Hee, known as the fourth generation singer of the legendary Korean rock band Boohwal. His story immediately attracted attention when he revealed it a painful coincidence in his life: both his older brother, the late Kim Jae Ki, who had been the band’s third singer, and his wife share the same memorial date of August 11.
Kim Jae Hee’s wife died in 2022 after battling sarcoma, a rare cancer that affects bones and muscles. Talking about the loss, he shared the emotional weight he carried with him after his death.
Seolhwa, the fortune teller who chose Kim Jae Hee for the mission, stunned the studio when she stated his wife’s spirit had not yet departed. According to the program, he began to call the deceased to the filming location, creating an unsettling atmosphere among the speakers.
Next thing you know, Seolhwa’s behavior has reportedly changed dramatically. Crying uncontrollably, she spoke as if possessed, saying: “It’s unfair. I didn’t want to die like this.” His emotional explosion he left the studio in silence as the speakers reacted visible shock.
The moment intensified when Seolhwa hugged Kim Jae Hee as she sobbed, repeating that she missed him. The singer, overwhelmed by emotion, he returned the hug as if comforting his late wife.
During the meeting, Seolhwa urged him so as not to give up on life. He called his daughter’s name, “Byul,” saying he needed to be protected and cared for. Through tears, she continued to beg him to promise that he would continue to live.

“I was grateful. I loved you so much. Please raise Byul well. Promise me you won’t die,” Seolhwa said while still seems to channel the spirit.
Kim Jae Hee, visibly shaken, she accepted through tears and promised to continue living for her daughter. Like the intense exchange took place, speakers including comedian Park Na Rae and actress Park Ha Sun were also seen wiping his tears.
