As the wedding preparations were underway, rumors began to circulate that HyunA had abandoned her rescued dog after seeing her pre-wedding photoshoot with Junhyung.
On September 3, soon-to-be-married couple HyunA and Yong Junhyung shared photos from their wedding on Instagram.
The first batch of photos attracted a lot of interest for the idols’ unconventional “fit”, where the female star wore flats instead of high heels. She also sported a Harley Quinn-inspired make-up look with a minidress and fishnet stockings.

In the next scene, the couple conveyed an affectionate bride and groom vibe, which was made even more special with a shot with Sogeum, HyunA’s beloved bichon.
However, an uproar ensued among fans, who shared confusion over the fact that only Sogeum had joined the photoshoot and not Haetnim, a rescue dog she had adopted in 2019. When netizens learned about this, people were quick to judge HyunA, accusing her of being an irresponsible pet owner who might have abandoned him.
Despite the hate the singer is receiving for deciding to marry the controversial Yong, K-Netz indirectly defended her by explaining that the dog was left in the care of Dawn, HyunA’s ex-girlfriend. They went on to praise the male idol for loving Haetnim and attested to other fans that the dog was well taken care of.

On the same day, HyunA’s current label, AT AREA, warned against the spread of malicious rumors aimed at defaming the artist, releasing an official statement.
The label said:
“We had prepared to take legal action against the continued personal attacks, spreading of false information, and malicious distortions regarding our artist HyunA, but we have always shown leniency in the face of the artist’s request.
However, after the announcement of the marriage, we have had confirmation that the defamation has been perpetrated indiscriminately, to a level that we can no longer stand by and watch.
In particular, after the release of the wedding photo report, the production and dissemination of rumors that were completely different from the truth became a serious problem, which is why we decided to take strong measures.”

They also stressed:
“As a minimum measure to protect our personality, we will take severe legal measures against malicious rumors in the future, without any warning, leniency or agreement.”
HyunA and Yong Junhyung are planning to get married on October 11. Before the event, not only was the soloist accused of abandoning her rescue dog, but rumors of a premarital pregnancy also circulated among K-pop fans. Through this statement, it was revealed that all of this is not true.
Meanwhile, absurd rumors are circulating that have their roots in the criticism leveled at HyunA following her relationship with Yong Junhyung, who left her team BEAST (hereinafter HIGHLIGHT) in 2019.
