Actress Hyeri officially left her mark as a serious artist, gaining a nomination to the best actress at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards for her intense and fearless role in K-Dama “Friendly rivalry” (Competition of good faith).
Set against the high pressure world of admission exams to high school high schools, “Friendly rivalry” I intricately explore the themes of competition, friendship, desire and fault through the goal of the best 1%students. In the drama, Hyeri assumes the role of Yoo Jae-Yi, a brilliant student whose brilliance is both admired and insulating. With a character stratified in emotional wounds and internal conflicts, Hyeri detaches himself from his previously sparkling image, offering what critics call it “Best performance in his career.”
