Hyejeong dashed AOA fans’ hopes of a comeback by confirming that the group is basically gone.
On October 2, actress-turned-idol Hyejeong appeared on YouTube channel “No Back Tak Jae Hoon,” where she talked about K-pop girl group, AOA.
In short, AOA was one of the most popular third-generation girl groups until former member Mina accused Jimin of bullying her.

Originally, the team had eight members, but after the issue they left FNC and the group one by one, leaving only the current trio: Hyejeong, Seolhyun, and Dohwa, who were named as spectators.
After the news broke in 2020, the group was considered to be on an indefinite hiatus, but when asked about their disbandment, Hyejeong responded:
“No, we haven’t broken up. It’s not clear yet. But in my heart we’ve already broken up.”
She clarified:
“Rather than breaking up, we support each other. It’s true, at least in my heart.”

While delving into the topic, MC Tak mentioned that former member Choa said she was the most pitiful of the group during her separate appearance on the channel.
However, Hyejeong refuted this and replied:
“I don’t think so. My sister left first and lives well after realizing her dream. I think she left because she wanted to do something, so I never thought she was pitiful. She and I chose different paths , and I think it’s going in the right direction.”
As for who to blame for all the disaster the group has suffered, Hyejeong said:
“Who would be the culprit? We are not in contact with each other. We know what others are doing just by looking at them through Instagram.”
Although Hyejeong still has a wish for AOA to reconcile and reunite one day, the chances are useless after she revealed:
“I want to see it too. But I don’t know because I’m not in touch with the members. We don’t even have a group chat. Plus, we haven’t reconciled yet.”
