MOVES has been accused of pressuring the media to remove unfavorable reports about their ongoing feud with Min Hee Jin and the clash of interests with NewJeans.
After NewJeans members held a live-streamed guerilla protest, demanding that Min be reinstated and ADOR be restored to its previous status, The KBSA major South Korean news outlet, published a report stating that Min Hee Jin’s team had advised members against making such a move.
The report said that NewJeans wanted to hold a press conference immediately after Min was fired as ADOR CEO, but her team argued that doing so could lead to risks such as breaching exclusive contracts and misunderstandings. But the members were determined to express their position, and so they made the decision independently.
Shortly after the article was published, it was removed from KBS’s website, which struck netizens as strange. A post on Incitement went viral after highlighting this takedown, where the OP (original post author) argued that HYBE engaging in such shows of force with the media to avoid bad publicity will only turn public opinion against them.
The comments under the post have already proven their observation correct, as most of the Internet users seem to be annoyed by HYBE’s alleged media game.
