Actor Hwang Jung-min publicly apologized to actress Kim Go-eun in a lighthearted moment that garnered attention during the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards handprint ceremony held on October 29 at CGV Yeouido in Seoul.
The event was hosted by Park Kyung-lim and attended by Hwang Jung-min, Kim Go-eun, Jung Hae-in, Lee Sang-hee, Noh Sang-hyun and Park Joo-hyun. The handprint ceremony is a traditional pre-event where the previous year’s winners leave their handprints in commemoration.
Hwang Jung-min, who won Best Actor at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his role in 12.12: The Dayshared, “I’m less nervous this time, but it’s bittersweet because it’s already been a year. The excitement and gratitude I felt when I received the award are still fresh and I feel like the handprint marks the end of that joy. However, thanks to it I’ve had a really happy year.”
Kim Go-eun, winner of the best actress award for Connectionhe added, “The year has flown by so fast. I feel like I received the award just yesterday. Winning at the Blue Dragon is like picking a star from the sky, so I will work hard to be like Hwang Jung-min and win it four times one day.”
The couple attracted even more attention by appearing in matching gray-toned outfits, unintentionally showing off a “couple look.” Hwang Jung-min jokingly addressed the coincidence, saying: “We didn’t have a dress code. I’m sorry. I feel like I disturbed Go-eun.” He added, “My stylist asked me to choose between a gray and a black dress, and I chose gray. At least I didn’t look good on Jung Hae-in, so that’s a relief.” His humorous comment brought laughter from the audience.
The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards will take place on November 19 at the KBS Hall in Yeouido and will be broadcast live on KBS2.
