Former FM entertainment intern Beoman is in trouble after recent live broadcasts.
Beomhan went through a lot while being a K-Pop idol trainee. Since then, he made his solo debut, which was met with negative reactions due to its poor quality and production. But that’s not all. Beomhan was the subject of numerous accusations made against him, which he quickly refuted.
Now, Beomhan has been “cancelled” by many after a few live broadcasts.
It all started shortly after the results of the US presidential elections were revealed Donald Trump he would be president once again. Although many Americans voted for Trump, hence the results, many Americans were left not only disappointed but heartbroken and fearful for their future. Minorities, including POC, women, LGBTQIA+, etc., in particular have been fearful of their rights being stripped away with him in power.
So when Beomhan held a live broadcast shortly after the results, emotions were still at an all-time high for those grieving; naturally the topic of current events arose. Yet no one expected Beomhan’s attitude towards him.
Beomhan jokingly said, “Rest in peace, women,” and sarcastically congratulated Trump, among other things, including parody Kanye WestThe infamous interruption of Taylor Swift‘S VMA Awards acceptance speech. Even though some knew it was Beomhan’s usual attempt to use humor to deal with a bad situation (the man himself laughed about being a victim of hate crimes, so it’s a brand fact), he left the bitter in the mouths of many. Some misunderstood Beomhan, believing him to be a misogynist. Others understood his poor attempt at a joke, but agreed that it was not his place, as a man, to joke about such a serious subject.
All women, this week, rest in peace, and I would like to say, “Rest in peace” to all women, and this week and as a country we have failed you. And, Donald Trump, congratulations on being president. However, I would like to say that Beyoncé made the best music video of all time and thank you, Beyoncé. …And if you are a woman, know that we are on your side, and I am so sorry, rest in peace and good luck. I am very sorry. And please, take a mental health day and go shopping or something.

As the clip circulated, netizens also began circulating its problematic story. Multiple accusations have been hurled at Beomhan, from sexism to homophobia to racism to problematic views of the past that he no longer supports.
As a result, Beomhan released a statement apologizing. He explained his original intentions but realized that he had spoken too lightly on such a serious and sensitive topic.
However, netizens continued to harass him. Many felt that an apology was not enough and that he needed to prove his sincerity. Beomhan apparently took offense and retracted his apology, although he did not delete it.
Beomhan continued to rant on X (formerly Twitter), responding to netizens. He also deleted some of his replies.
Beoman continually defended himself.
I have a girlfriend
He offered compensation and guaranteed safety
I made a payment of $1000 and took it on tour
I made a joke to relieve people’s stress during a difficult week
I called you a bitch for saying the insult.— therealbeoman (@beoman_x) November 12, 2024
One tweet particularly upset netizens, as Beomhan tweeted the R-word (r*tard), which is considered derogatory, reinforcing negative stereotypes of people with disabilities. In context, someone reportedly used this insult against Beomhan while threatening him, and he was so upset that he repeated it while reading and continued to curse the person.
Beomhan also retweeted a disturbing post from one person, who essentially wished he would commit suicide. While Beomhan quickly canceled it, he crafted his own tweet, referencing the date he had already attempted suicide, alarming fans.
But it didn’t end here. After the outburst via X, Beomhan apparently held a live broadcast on a campus yesterday. He lashed out at spectators, shouting and swearing so much that other pedestrians allegedly asked him to shut up. Several moments have circulated, shocking netizens. For example, he would call people “bitch” and, once again, repeat the R word.
his response to ableism and being ableist himself is to call people assholes, fighting ableism with misogyny I guess…? (yeah, you can use bitch derogatorily like it’s here)pic.twitter.com/aFGj3YE6vE

This chaotic and shocking live broadcast went on for about half an hour.
This live broadcast was not saved like most of his live broadcasts. Then, shortly after he held another live broadcast while clips from the first one were already going viral. He continued to curse those who left hateful comments, insults or death threats. Beomhan clarified the controversies and promised that he was not threatening suicide, as he meant that he was committing “professional suicide” because he was fed up of constantly defending himself amid constant “smear campaigns”. However, he also apologized for his insensitive jokes about the election results.
Netizens, both fans and non-fans, were alarmed by Beomhan’s behavior. Despite his various controversies, he’s not the type to swear publicly, especially not at others. Many suspected that Beomhan was drunk, having consumed too much alcohol or drugs, and was “crashing” as a result. Yet, Beomhan stated, even in the recent live broadcast, that he is sober and does not consume any form of drugs or alcohol.
Beomhan saved the last live broadcast and the comments section included mixed reactions. Yet many loyal fans praised Beomhan for standing up against hate and calling out netizens for their horrific death threats.
On the other hand, many are concerned about Beomhan’s well-being, as he did not appear to be in a good headspace during the live broadcasts.
If you search for Beomhan, all you see are people trying to get hit tweets and making fun of mental health. Because no one else sees that he might actually be having a manic episode, and even read the comments telling him to put in the effort.. I’m not a fan of his nor am I defending what he said

Others feel that Beomhan is a great example of why idols not only need media training but shouldn’t have 100% control over their social media accounts.
congrats Beomhan for being the prime example of why idols can’t handle themselves for shit pic.twitter.com/HyqV8gMU62
