During the state audit of the national assembly, Hanni revealed the reasons why he believed HYBE hated NewJeans and exposed instances where they were bullied at work.
On October 15, NewJeans Hanni, a 20-year-old Vietnamese-Australian, bravely attended the state audit of the National Assembly’s Environment and Labor Committee as a witness, together with ADOR’s new CEO, Kim Joo Young , as a contact person.
The two were called in to talk about the topic of bullying and harassment in the workplace, which the idol personally raised during a live broadcast last month.
The issue began when the “Ditto” singer claimed that ILLIT’s manager told the girl group to ignore Hanni, making her feel hurt.
After the live stream, the Ministry of Employment and Labor received about 100 investigation reports, and it quickly became a social issue.
When Hanni testified, she then revealed more about the bullying incidents that not only she but NewJeans had to endure.
“The incident didn’t happen just once. Since my debut, I have met high-ranking officials and they have never greeted me. From what I have learned from living in Korea is that older people are more considerate when dealing politely. manners; so I think not greeting me was rude as a human being, regardless of my occupation.”

He continued:
“There is a certain atmosphere that I felt within the company. It was ambiguous so it was difficult to tell anyone or say anything because of that atmosphere. To be honest, I thought it was just my personal thoughts and feelings or just the person who was injured could hear.
But recently, I saw what happened with the manager (ILLIT) I talked about earlier and not long ago, I saw company employees badmouthing NewJeans on an app called Blind. I also heard a recording of a manager from the company’s PR team trying to downplay the results of our Japanese debut for reverse viral effect.”
With this NewJeans Hanni accused HYBE and its staff of being against them.
“Seeing all this, I became certain that the vibe I was feeling wasn’t just a feeling, but that the company (really) hated us.”
