After being subpoenaed for the state audit next week, NewJeans Hanni confirmed her appearance as a key witness. Here he will talk more about workplace bullying and harassment at HYBE.
On October 9, Hanni announced to the public that he would take part in the upcoming state audit of the National Assembly’s Environment and Labor Committee on the 15th.
Via the group’s fan communication platform, Phoneing, the Vietnamese-Australian singer said:
“Ah… Bunnies too (NewJeans fandom), I decided! I’m going to the National Assembly. I’m going to the status check, alone!
But don’t worry. I will do it for myself, for the members and also for the Bunnies. I decided to participate also for Bunnies.”

Hanni went on to say that she still had to inform her manager and her company ADOR, but after thinking about it, she realized the importance of her presence.
Meanwhile, she was summoned by the committee last month after speaking out against Belift Lab, a sub-label of HYBE that purposely tries to have its artists ignore her, like ILLIT.
Tension between the two groups and their staff began after former NewJeans CEO Min Hee Jin accused ILLIT of being the group’s copycat. Because of this, Hanni was chosen to become a star witness to talk more about her experiences as an idol who was bullied in the workplace.

Then on October 7, Belift Lab released its position denying this accusation. In revealed CCTV footage, it was shown that ILLIT did not ignore Hanni’s greetings, but NewJeans’ parents appeared, claiming that HYBE tried to tamper with evidence by deleting further scenes on the day the incident occurred.
