On the October 28 episode of “Zzanbro,” Han Ye-seul appeared as a guest, sharing her experiences with acting, relationships and more.
When asked about her drinking habits, she explained: “I used to drink often, but since I met my husband I almost don’t drink anymore. Now I only drink on special occasions. Host Shin Dong-yup laughed, saying: “Now that you have a husband, there’s no need to drink.”
Han Ye-seul, who spent her school years in the United States, reflected on experiencing subtle forms of racial prejudice there. He explained, “Learning English in the United States while working in Korea made me feel a little out of place with both languages.”
Speaking about her sitcom acting debut, Han Ye-seul revealed: “When I was a student in the United States, I always dreamed of finding my soulmate. I even had a boyfriend who, while watching ‘Three Guys and Three Girls,’ told me that I should try to act like Jeannie and Woo Hee-jin. He added that it felt surreal when he later started acting in sitcoms.
Han Ye-seul also shared a personal story about an ex-boyfriend she once thought of marrying. “Her parents were wonderful people, but they had certain expectations of a daughter-in-law: a college graduate from an intact family and not in the entertainment industry. I didn’t fit into any of those boxes and it was a shock,” he confessed.
After meeting her husband, Han Ye-seul got married in May. “We filed our wedding on May 7, as it was a public holiday and I felt it was the right step. I’ve never had a fantasy about a wedding, but with him I wanted to make it official.
Han Ye-seul explained, “Making the commitment seemed necessary because some people only saw our relationship as a temporary fling since we weren’t married. Submitting the paperwork was like a declaration that our relationship is genuine and serious.
